Transfer the dough to the prepared pan, and press it into an even layer. Bake for 18-22 minutes, until the cookies appear dry at the edges, but still underdone in the middle.

Let the cookie bars cool completely in the pan for at least an hour. Then use the parchment paper to lift the entire cookie out of the pan, and slice into 24 pieces.
